Problem with new firmware
My problem with the new firmware is, that it now shuts down the device if I turn off my tv. My tv is connected over hdmi. That behaviour is annoying, because if I hear music I don't want my tv be on the whole time. But if I turn it off, the dsm-330 goes in sleep mode, till I turn on the tv again.
Where can I get the old firmware back? With this "feature" the new firmware is useless for me.

hello
I tried to load the new firmware and it didnt solve my connectivity - retaining settings problem
I tried resetting the firmware by holding down the reset button,
how exactly do I need to do that ?
Device turned on? Off? plugged in?
The device needs to be connected to the server (wired is best) for the restore to work.
All went well with the installation - but now everything has gone to POT!
I have a SMALL image of my server software in the middle of my HD Phillips TV and my REMOTE CONTROL refuses to work!!!!
I cannot navigate anywhere or change any settings
I'm running the latest server software as well
What on earth is going ON!!!?
Please can you tell me how to fix this......
If this cannot be fixed NOW....I need that link to reinstall the old firmware - is this possible?
I'll just have to get used the weird GREEN SCREEN again!
Please help!
Unplug the power to the TV and the device and then plug them back in.
Turn on the DSM-330 and press the setup button and then choose the Restore Factory Default selection on the second page of the main setup screen.
After power cycling the device, it will then run the setup wizard again.
If the device is not responding to the remote, place the remote close to the front mid area of the device and shield the path between the remote and the device with your hand so that the TV screen does not interfere with it.
Did you move the device to a different location relative to the TV when you did the update? This may be why it is suddenly getting IR interference.
If this does not resolve your problem, let me know and I will send you the previous firmware, but we would need to resolve the remote issue in order for you to install it.
Support at DLink gave me the tip of pressing the 'reset' button on the rear of the box for '20 -30 secs' - this re-instates the firmware back to v 1.0.0.11 - all now works as well as it did before firmware upgrade - unfortunately that means I have to live with 'green screen' for a little longer.
Thanks for your quick reply- will keep that advice noted just in case my remote throws another 'wobbler'
If your setup screens are green, you can fix this issue by pressing setup on the remote, and then choosing Display->Settings->High Definition and choosing the NTSC 480p setting. After you do this, the setup screens should not be green. You can then choose a 720p or 1080 setting again so that you can connect to the server in HD mode.
It works - the green screen is back :)
But hey, I don't spend much time in the setup, so I can live with that.
Thank you.
Thanks for your help.
My tv is a Toshiba 37C3001. Against my first post, I found out that switching off my tv is not shutting down to dsm-330 it force a reconnect to the server (or something similiar), must be something with the new auto-hdmi stuff. Everytime I switch the tv on or off is like a restart for the device. But the result is the same, any playback stops and I'm back on the startscreen.
So it's not longer possible to start music with tv on and after starting switch the tv off, like I did before. Really annoying.
Thanks for your offer, I send you a mail.
We will provide a fix for this issue in the next firmware release.
reference this post and we can send you a link the older firmware.
This is the first I have heard of this issue. Can you tell us what TV type you have?
