Netgear WPN824 wireless wows!
Hi
I have spent all night trying to get my 330 to connect to my new Netgear WPN824 without joy.
I have disabled all security and redused the SSID to a few letters, and still I get "unable to connect".
I have tried all the channels.
I have reset the factory defaults on both the router and the 330.
I have run out of ideas.. any suggestions?
Thanks in advanced.

PS Wired works fine.
PPS I have used two other different model netgear wirless routers with the 330 without fault.

Weird I'm using a Net-Gear -WGR614v6 for the last 3yrs with Windows XP + Vista I have 3 PCs + 1 laptop on the router and i get a great signal also using comics cable as a ip.I saw a new Linksys blue with 2 antennas that is working great at my job.
PS- Some of the new motherboards have built in wifi pretty cool
Just an update..
I connected up my old wireless router, a Netgear WGR617 and connected without fault!!
As I'm here can anyone advise on a good stable wireless cable router?
Due to the above issues the Netgear WPN824 is best avoided.
The old Netgear WGR617 is good but drops the connection on occasion.
The best router I've had is the Netgear WGT624 v3, unfortunatly it died on me after a year and 1 day of continous fault free connection... ho hum!
Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions
This may be unrelated but I have a Netgear DG834N and my wireless connection was incredibly unreliable until I switched everything to static IP adresses. My DSM330 is hard wired and not wireless however (I have wireless connection to my laptops).
A few times, the only way I was able to get a connection was to restore the factory defaults of the Netgear router, even though there should not have been any issue with the settings I was using.
Give this a try and let me know if it works for you.
The upgrade requires using a USB flash drive. Instructions are inside the ZIP file.

Ahhh, good thinking dsalmonsen...
Unfortunatly this didn't work. I upgraded and checked the firmware number had updated on the "info" page. I even powered the 330 down for a few minutes, but still I am unable to connect wirlessly. Very frustrating!!
Good suggestion though thanks.
