Project Rémoulade

Project Rémoulade

Come see what all the fuss is about! If you want to participate in the beta testing of the DivX h.264 decoder, follow the instructions on the bottom of this page: http://labs.divx.com/ProjectRemoulade

Let us know if you have any questions.

I don't have DIVX

I don't use either of those (VLC, Media Player classic)and haven't tried them. I tried WMP 11 and the DIVX Player.

Isn't the .mts file an industry standard? Should the decoder work with this file?

problems with using Remoulade + Reclock :/

truly awesome decoder, I'm stunned!

but 23.976/24 fps files are recognized as 25 fps by Reclock, as explained here :
http://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?p=1164031&postcount=272

OTOH 29.97 are perfectly recognized.

any chance for a fix please please please ?

TIA,

Forget WMP 11

Hi,
I can't tell you how to setup your wmp 11 to use the DivX AVC decoder, since I'm not using it. As far as I know you'll have to change the order of the merits to let wmp "choose" DIVX AVC as preferred decoder ...

However, I highly recommend to use the media player classic for watching h.264 clips !
Don't mind the name (Media Player classic) it has nothing in common (besides the name ;-) with your WMP.
It's free and you can easily switch between your splitter/decoder/render ...

MPC

Can you tell me how do i use the beta decoder with MPC? I have MPC playing with .mts files but it doesn't seem to be using the DIVX beta decoder.

TIA

Beta 2

With DVBDream on PAFF interleaved H.264/AVC broadcasts, beta2 is the same as beta1: no dice.

It not just can't create a workable (or even non-workable) graph, it breaks a DVB app, plus probably DirectX itself.

Hey, guys: I really really appreciate any and all of your efforts, but just a tiny but: is anyone listening at all?

We are definitely listening!

We are definitely listening! But we should probably consolidate these comments with the longer thread here. I'll make sure DigitAl56k sees your issue.

Decoder

Am I missing something? After installing this decoder shouln't I be able to play a .mts file in Window Media Player 11?

Can't do it on a Vista machine, because WMP is using the MainConcept decoder.

Another Vista configuration has Pixela Imagemixer on it and is using this decoder instead of this beta.

2 other XP Prof. machine's won't play a .mts file at all. WMP report no decoder/codec present at all

Help please.

Thanks
Frank Harczuk

Anybody Listening

Should I be able to do the above or not? I can patiently wait or am I barking up the wrong tree?

TIA

Can you tell me more about

Can you tell me more about the .mts file? Have you tried playing it with either VLC player or the Media Player Classic programs?

I don't use either of those

I don't use either of those (VLC, Media Player classic)and haven't tried them. I tried WMP 11 and the DIVX Player.

The .mts file is a high def. file recorded from my Canon HF100 High Def. Camcorder.

Isn't the .mts file an industry standard? Should the decoder work with this file?

DivXCodecH264Beta1

I installed the codec and it seems that Windows Media Player 11 is still using the previous codec that was installed when I installed Pinnacle Studio 11. The codec is "MainConcept (Adobe2) H.264/AVC Decoder". This is under Windows Vista Ultimate.

HOw do I get WMP to use the DivXCodecH264?

thanks
Frank

Go into the settings of your old decoder and disable it.

//EOM

I don't know where to find

Looks like this codec was installed with Adobe Premiere!

I don't know where to find these settings. Any ideas? Can't I set the beta driver to overwrite?
