Switch Off (Beta) - Turns off PC
This plug-in came out of the discussion over HERE.
The power of DivX Connected never seems to stop amazing me!
This plug-in will communicate with the Switch Off freeware installed on your server(s). With this plug-in, you can SHUTDOWN, RESTART, STANDBY, or HIBERNATE your PC from the DivX Connected client.
First, download and install Switch Off:

Under Switch Off's options, you'll want to 'enable remote control'. This plug-in doesn't support authentication right now and defaults to port 8000, so it's easiest to leave these options alone if you're able to.
Also in the options, you'll want to set Switch Off to start with Windows or run as a service, so it's always available to Connected.
Then, make sure you're running the Connected beta server 1.3:

THIS IS STILL IN BETA!!!
Need to improve the IP/port entry and store these values in a database, so you wouldn't need to re-enter them, although LOCALHOST should take care of this for now. Another nice feature to add would be feedback for errors (e.g. Server Not Detected). Everyone is welcome to poke around in the code and post improvements.

401 Authorization required
Hi Guys,
Great idea this the more I can do from my armchair the better. I set the thing up as per the instructions but when I try to go to standby I get a '401 authorisation error' ; Switch off seems to notice a remote user has connected but thats as far as it goes apart from a blank screen with the autorization problem.
Any ideas ?

GPRS NOT WORKING
I HAVE N-95 MY SERVICE PROVIDER IS DOLPHIN MUMBAI, I HAVE RECEIVED CONFIRMATION REGARDING ACTIVATION OF GPRS, BUT WHENEVER I TRY TO CONNECT THE MESSAGE DISPLAY LIKE CONNECTION ERROR! . I ALSO HAVE ANOTHER PROBLEM , WHEN I SWITCH ON THE CELL ( BATTERY IS NOT REMOVED) , THERE IS ALWAYS REQUEST TO UPDATE DATE & TIME.
PLEASE HELP!

Default is now localhost
Ncochon had the great idea of setting the default IP to localhost. Now there's no need to hit MENU unless you need to change the port or shut off a different PC on your network. I'll leave it in beta since there's still more work to be done.
