firefox 3 freezes on pages with large embedded divx videos - webplayer
I am currently working on our webpage where we have a couple of HD videos embedded, using the divx webplayer.
the embedded size is 640x360
original videofile resolution is 1280x720
OS is VistaSP1 Ultimate 32bit
with IE7 all works fine
with Firefox 2 all worked fine
since i upgraded to Firefox 3, it freezes at the moment i access the movie page and vista tells me that i have to close FF3
divx webplayer is latest available
any further informations i can provide to help?
if someone from the divx-team wants to take a look at the webpage, i can pm/email link+user/pass. the site is still WIP and therefore not live yet.

this is our webpage where we list our videos.
and there we use the divx webplayer which has a very obvious issue with Firefox3.
We are having the issues here on Labs. In my case, once a video is done playing back and the system goes to screen saver, the browser becomes completely black. Minimizing and maximizing the browser brings back the clear page for me (this is in FF3).
I did look around on the mozilla FF3 product development wiki and saw that there are some outstanding improvements for embeded objects and the hand off to a 3rd party helper application. I could however not find time lines for potential fixes and updates.

Any news on a fix for the webplayer? :)
thank you very much for the informtaion! :)
good to know that you were able to reproduce the issue(s).
i am looking forward to your next release of the divx-webplayer which hopefully fixes these problems.
keep up the great work.

chris
btw. could you please delete post#4 which is totally off-topic?
thanks :)
I am a jazz fan and after the shooting of Stage 6 I am really missing downloading such a nice jazz stuff, would you please tell about alternative jazziz websites with that high quality?
Please, how to reopen Stage 6?, I am suffering from that, I mean it!!!!
