New server update crashes after loading

New server update crashes after loading

I allowed Divx Connect to update it's self and after restart it crashes. I uninstalled all the software and installed just the new version 1.3.1.10 I downloaded from Divx and it ran fine until I added my Video folder on my NAS drive. As it searches the drive for content it crashes. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

crash

I had the same problem and it looks like it was related to my unfinished torrent files.I moved my trrent download directory to another location and all looks good now.

Problem Found

There was a single File that was crashing Divx connected program. I deleted that file and rescanned and it works fine. I am still trying to find out what is special about the file and what makes it crash the program. I will post again when I figure it out.

Server upgrade crashing!!

I allowed Divx Connect to update it's self but after restart it crashes. I uninstalled all the software and installed just the new version 1.3.1.10 I downloaded from Divx and it ran fine until I added my 'Movies' folder on my HD drive. As it searches the drive for content it crashes.
(message appears to say server must close because of a problem it encountered) and then refuses to reopen!
gone back to V1.2

How do we solve this?

Cheers

This will help us get a better idea of what is happening. After you do this, can you send me a PM?

Re: New server update crashes after loading

I too have seen this error - on my photo drive. The only way around it so far is to add the sub folders one at a time. Not sure what has changed here because it used to work on the older version..

Still a problem

I uninstalled all versions and made sure that all reg entries were also gone. Installed only the new full version and when I add the video Dir it makes the program crash. It's only when I add my NAS video Dir. Everything works as long as I do not add that video Dir. I copied all files to a new location and then tried to add that new folder and it still crashes. If I find any fix for this I will post it. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Divx and D-Link do not have any answers.

Thanks

Only Ver 1.2 works

It seams that every version after 1.2 has this problem. I've just tried 1.4 and everything is OK untill I add a folder on my NAS. Within a few seconds the server has crashed. Has anybody got any new information?

same drill

I installed the Software that came with it v1.1 I think and at the end of it all was fine, then a pop-up said new version available - so i installed it as it seems 1.1 does not support network drives. as soon as the server starts up it crashes. I have tried every version i can get my hands on and they all crash except for the original that came with the dlink box....??? what to do?

UPDATE:

I managed to figure out the problem is a specific folder. When I delete the folder it works fine, as soon as i add it back again and it gets scanned it crashes. I assume there must be a corrupt file or something in there, its only AVIs and they all play fine on PC... any ideas? also, is anyone else having problems with this forum???

Server 1.4.1 Beta

Did you already try with v1.4.1 Beta? If you haven't yet, give it a shot and let us know.
