Can't play activation video - Omnia
Hello,
I have a problem in the activation of my Samsung Omnia, when I try to play the video of activation I get an error message saying "This reader is not allowed to play this video."
I already tried to play with Windows Media Player, DivX Mobile Player and the TouchPlayer and all receive the same message.

I've installed the patch twice now and I still get the "not authorised" error

Exactly the same problem that @MS0lhao. But message in french because my Omnia is French version ! (escuse me for my poor english...)
All my proccesses :
- Regestering with Divx Player (create account ...)
- put my genreted video for registration on my omnia
- play video (WMP,Touch player...)
- doesn't work
- read this forum
- Apply patch found in this forum
- Launch path on my Omnia
- Patch do a reboot
- play video (WMP,Touch player...)
- same error as @MSOlhao

I am having the same problem. I tried to understand who is writing to whom herei but i did not understand...
I tried the patch but still have the same problem... any other suggestion?

Can any proud OMNIA owner tell me how to register over OMNIA DIVX player via the phone. Tried many, many times but fail every time with the error says, register online at VOD.VIDX.COM. But cannot find anywhere at this site to get registered...:P
I think it's just a bloody gimmick for Samsung to promote DIVX, ja.

Also can anyone confirm that DivX player is actually pre-installed on the Omnia? I cannot see any sign of it being so in any of the files. I imagined that perhaps one of the other Samsung players had been encoded with DivX codecs etc. to enable playback??

I contacted the support divx and they told me they have a patch to fix this one, then I put the patch here if you want.
