Re: need your help..

aoii,

You need to host the files either on your own site or one that allows regular http/https access. Once you have uploaded to such a site use the URL of the video there in the code generator.

formats other than .divx

i was wondering if you could see if you could get other video formats to work on the generator like: .avi(among others but .avi will do just fine) for example; since it's in a BETA stage i figure you might consider. I'd be able to use the generator more often too(that way i don't have to settle for veoh all the time. their web player sucks[with that annoying bar at the bottom and having a desktop player that doesn't even work properly and then they decide to refuse to fix it. sorry for ranting but they really are annoying.] along with their quality of the videos) if you did that others most likely will use it as well; in turn making .divx more used than it is now making it so the people who refuse to switch because of many different reasons might consider switching to .divx instead of the crappy(low quality) format they use now(.mkv just to name one), my friend who's one of them would switch if it was more adaptable like all the other streaming players(even they aren't even worth watching).

some feedback:

This is a sweet tool. I've started to play around with it. Just some quick feedback:

- Is there a way to separate the recommended thumbnails from the video thumbnails? Right now, the thumbnails are the only way of telling what video you are clicking to in the recommended. If this is the case, I'd like to create custom thumbnails in the exact size that more clearly defines what the video is (might also be nice if the thumbnails were wider to accommodate text...can't really fit any in right now).

- If this can't happen, perhaps some easy way of loading the title of a video, or seeing the title of a video in the recommended section before selecting it? If I have 10-20 videos in a recommended section, but the user can only choose based off of a truncated screen shot, I just don't see many click-throughs.

Just my thoughts. I really like this.
