Subtitles size
Hi,
I’m a proud user of divx connected device and it’s brilliant. I just wonder if there is any possibility to change the size of SRT subtitles? I’m using standard definition TV and for some movies the size of subtitles is too big. On the other hand, while watching HD content the subtitles are very tiny.
I think that ‘resize subtitles’ functionality will be good advantage for divx conneted users.
Regards,
M.

You are not alone man !!
Same problem here and no solution around !!
To make it worst, new server software changed the font style making subtitles even more hard to read.
I has to be SO DIFFICULT adjust the font size ??? This newer server version has made evident that font style and size is a server matter and is not related to DivX Conn Client or firmware. Why so much trouble to fix it ????

emrahalpat,
I'm sorry for the lack of response until now.
At this time, you can't change the size of the subtitles from within DivX Connected. One tool I use is Sub2DivX. It uses divxmux.exe and you can get it here: http://userxp.tripod.com/sub2divx.htm
Basically you can load up the divx movie and the .srt file, increase the font size and then output the file. The outputted file will have the subtitles muxed in the file as an XSUB (i believe). It works well and it doesn't take very long to do the muxing. Give it a shot.

Sorry I was a bit busy for the past few days.
Changing the size from the server settings would be more convenient, I'm not sure I can invest the time in muxing subtitles to be honest.
But I'll certainly give it a try. If its a 10 minute thing, why not? But if it means re-encoding the whole movie which I believe takes about an hour with modern computers.. I'll probably pass.
Are there any plans to change this in future releases?
I too use this and it works well.
This is starting to become disappointing.
All I'm asking for is a simple "we'll do it next release" or "we wont be doing it any time soon" or even better "you can do it by doing etc etc.."
How hard is it to post such a reply ? This is an opportunity to turn a less-than thrilled customer to a very happy one just by responding, however this hasnt happened since last week. Has d-link support taken over divx? Even they reply after 2-3 days.
hi again, I'm having the impression that this post is being ignored. Please prove me wrong and respond team divx (please with a smile :))
hi - 2 days and no comments on this? Not even a "sorry no can do" ?
I know you guys are better than this :)
Hi - has any of the Firmware updates changed the size of the subtitles? I noticed that the subtitles have got pretty difficult to read on a small 17 inch TV that sits in my bedroom.
I checked the registry settings for Divx, but couldnt see any entries that could affect the subtitle size.
Does the server generate the subtitles or is it something like FFDShow etc?
It would really help if we could change the subtitle size as we watch most of the movies with subtitles to avoid waking up the toddler while watching late night movies on the DSM
Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks
