Please note that you DO NOT have to install the DivX Mobile Player if your phone is a DivX Certified device. When a phone is DivX Certified this means that the native player that ships on the phone is capable of DivX playback as long as the file is encoded at a bitrate that is supported by the device.

Hi guys. I have a Samsung S8003.
I've received the activation video when registering the device on my pc.
But when i try playing the video on my phone I get a message saying "This device is not authorized to play this video".
Please help.

Hi.What about LG Arena?I can play divx movies, but i don't know where i have to register my phone with the unique code...I thinking that in this website i can do that, but...what's the need of this codes anyway?Does somebody knows?
You need to register your phone if you want to play DivX VOD movies purchased from websites like http://www.filmfresh.com.
However, there are currently no mobile resolution videos available for purchase so there is no need to register your LG Arena. See http://labs.divx.com/node/8825

Do you have ActiveSync installed on your PC? Are you using Vista or XP? Do you receive an error message when you run the installer? Are you able to install any software on your phone or is DMP the first program you've tried to install?

However, you should be able to download the activation video. There might have been a temporary problem. You could try downloading again or tell us what error message you encounter.

I've got a Samsung Jet S8000, and this phone can read divx files, i do have a registration code, and i already done all the steps, but when i get the file to make the activation, and i try to run it in the phone, it gives a message that says i have to register the device in the vod.divx.com site... I'm confuse, how can i register the player if the file to make the activation is a divx file?

I have the Samsung Omnia with DIVX but i watch movies by the touch player so far.
My problem is with the sub titles.
I cant watch the movie with .srt file. Why?? (i cant see it by the touch player)
Can u help me about it???
There are no DivX phones (that I am aware of) that will display SRT subtitles. While there are many DVD players that will display SRT subtitles, SRT files are not part of the DivX standard or DivX certification testing.

There is no need to install DivX Mobile Player on the LG Arena. The Arena is a DivX Certified mobile phone and can play DivX Mobile videos right out of the box.
To make your own Mobile videos, try using DivX Converter on the "Mobile" setting.

If I played using touch player, it gave me error "A problem has occurred with smplayer.exe. Please tell Microsoft about this problem, at no cost to you. The data is used exclusively to improve productions.".
Similarly, if I played using windows media, it gave me error "A problem has occurred with wmplayer.exe. Please tell Microsoft about this problem, at no cost to you. The data is used exclusively to improve productions".

The S8300 is a DivX Mobile certified phone that can play DivX Mobile videos. You can create DivX Mobile videos using DivX Converter on the "Mobile" setting. You can copy videos to your phone using a USB cable or copy them to a memory card and put the card into your phone.

I tried to watch a video on my Samsung Omnia last night, and i was informed that there is a new version of Divx mobile, so i visited the webpage and downloaded the winzip file then proceeded to setup, somehow, my current Divx player was removed and now i cannot re-install it on the device as it is not recognized. WTF?

First, the Samsung Omnia is a DivX Certified phone. DivX Mobile Player is not required or recommended for the Omnia. Windows Media Player and the Samsung Touch Player will both play DivX files.
However, DMP should work on the Omnia. Can you tell us exactly what the error message is and exactly when it appears in the installation process?

I am hoping somebody can help me here. I have a Samsung Pixon and I find the video play back very poor, especially if I try to watch somethig online. Example, If I want to watch a video on YouTube it plays back but the screen is quite small. If I use the option to show the video larger it still doesn't maximise the full size of the screen. Is this meant to be like this or am I not doing something right?

Ok, just had my Arena for 2 days and much as I love it I'm getting frustrated with the video playback. On the LG websites they love stating how it plays back any DivX/Xvid, AVI, WMV video file, they even send you the DIVX conversion program on the CD with the phone incase you come across files that aren't compatible. Well So far I have tried to play DIVX, AVI, WMV files, and I've even converted a few files using their blessed conversion software, and all I get for all this trouble is "NOT SUPPORTED" I have tried swapping between the Sandisk SD 4GB card and the internal 8GB memory and still I get "NOT SUPPORTED" I even downloaded the test DIVX video files from this website and tried those on both the card and the internal memory of the phone, and I still got "NOT SUPPORTED" and now I'm stratching my head till there's a bald spot! what am I doing wrong? my old Nokia N95 played just about everything you threw at it and the arena is alot more advanced. I even tried to play the video you get when you register the VOD Divx service and it wouldn't even play that! HELP!
How to use DivX player in Samsun Pixon?
The phone has DivX registration code available. how to veiew/play DivX files on Pixon?
The registration code is only for DivX VOD purchased videos. You don't need to register your phone if you haven't purchased any VOD files.
You can play DivX videos just like playing any other video on the Pixon. Copy your DivX files to your phone. Make sure the files have a ".divx" or ".avi" file extension. Then open the files in Windows Media Player.
Make sure your DivX files are "Mobile Profile" videos to ensure smooth playback on the Pixon. You can use the freely available DivX Converter (http://www.divx.com/divx/) to convert nearly any video into a DivX Mobile Profile video.
