DivX Connected server 1.4 is Required
This full featured plug-in is powered by YouTube and includes log-in, search, and channel support.
This UI features the new tile control, allowing you to see the video thumbnails and text descriptions. Hit ENTER to choose a channel, and BACK to return to the sidebar. Pressing ENTER on the search text box will pop-up the onscreen keyboard.
Video is presented in Flash, 4:3 - UP/DOWN keys affect volume, RIGHT/LEFT jumps video forward and back.

I also can't get the sound to work on the YouTube plug-in. No problems with any of the other plug-ins.

Single Word Search Problem
Hi,
I think this plugin is great, thanks for writing it. I like the search facility but I've noticed that the system will only recognise a search for a single word. If you input 2 words then it won't complete the search.
I would very much appreciate it if this could be resovled, or perhaps there is a workaround?

Logging in to Youtube account
Thanks for this great plugin! The only snag with it is everytime I enter my user name and password I just get the spinner but it never logs me in. Any ideas on how to solve this?

Erm sorry friend you've lost me there - it's a youtube plugin so I've been trying to login via the dsm 330 to my youtube account using my youtube login and password - on the dsm 520 this always takes me to my favorites/subscriptions etc on that device. Do I need a google account then? No comprendez...help please!

On youTube you can login using either a google account (previously linked to a youtube account) or a stand alone youtube account.
I will investigate the issue and let you know.

There is some kind of a bug in the YouTube API when the user authenticating has no profile picture but I was able to find a way around.

Hi Again -sorry for the delay in getting back - just tried again and I'm in my account at last! Favourites and friends read fine only my subscriptions don't show up but that's a trivial matter compared to not getting any access at all. Many thanks for your quick replies and help with this - are you planning more upgrades to this plugin? Cheers!

Just had an afterthought - it'd be brilliant if it was possible to actually add or delete from my favourites/friends/subscriptions via this plugin? This would really set connected apart from other devices!

Great but no sound for me...

The plug-in works fine but there is no sound playing...
Do you know where the problem is ?
(For information, all other videos don't have sound problem when played from my connected box)
Sound Problem
Did anyone find a resolutions to the sound problem with this plugin. I also have no sound with this plugin.
I have the latest server (1.4.1) and firmware running. The break plugin works fine with sound, it's just the utube plugin.
It would be great to get it working. I just realised that text can be typed into the search function with the number keys which is much better than simply using the on screen keyboard.

Edit: The sound has now started workgin properly, not quite sure why. The only thing I have done that might affect it is install the latest verions of flash player (7) into Firefox.
