It still doesn't work
I've downloaded and installed the new beta, but it still doesn't work for me. I have Firefox 3.0.2, but ever since I installed FF 3.0 (and then FF 3.0.1), I have been unable to watch embedded DivX videos, both my own videos and my husband's videos. The DivX web screen is there, with the blue X and all, but when I click on the > to play it, nothing happens, it doesn't even begin to buffer. This problem has lasted for several months now, and I am profoundly frustrated and disappointed - not only by this fact but by the lack of responses from DivX to my emails and my forum posts. As a paying customer (DivX Pro), I expect a bit of respect and some support, but neither are forthcoming.

It sounds to me like it is a Firefox 3 problem you are having and not the Divx software you are using. Try downgrading back to the old Firefox that worked and see if that will solve the problem.
I have not heard many good things about the latest upgrade from Mozilla .. as a matter of fact in my Multiply.com Management Blog they are reccommending that people downgrade to the Firefox before 3 came out because it just does not work in the site.. and this is a dedicated place to the Firefox browser.
I have written several emails to this site about problems and yes it took two or three days to get a response.. but they always did respond and were very helpful to get me started with the use of their programs here.
I will end this novel with the advice of downgrading back to the previous Firefox that worked for you and be patient with the folks here at Divx.. Firefox upgrades continuously and it is hard to keep up with all the different types of software upgrades and codecs needed or plug ins to be invented to make things work smoothly..
