This video is No longer available. We are sorry....
Just got my DSM 330 and immediately encountered an issue streaming Hulu (which, appears to be the main driving force behind having this equipment). After 3-5 minutes the message "This video is No longer available. We are sorry for the inconvenience" appears.
This appears to have nothing to do with my browser's pop up blocker (which I disabled) or the natural staring time of commercials.
Any thoughts on how to correct this anyone?
Any Possibility of a Hulu Player Plug-in Update?
Are there any plans to update the Hulu Player plug-in to allow access to Hulu again? It was a great plug-in!
Thanks

IT appears Hulu has begin encypting their HTML in efforts to stop appliances like Divx connected and Boxee from using their RSS feeds.
Frankly its a stupid move, but so be it.
Lets hope the plugin author can get around this hurtle.
What is interesting is I can
What is interesting is I can view Hulu videos via Connected in the PC client, but the DSM-330 shows just a blank white screen after selecting a video to play.
Is this what others are experiencing?
Why would videos stream to to the Connected PC client but not the 330?
Videos Stop After About 5 Minutes
My hulu videos play fine for around 5 minutes, but then a message displays from hulu saying that the video is no longer available. I get this consistently and have tried watching several different videos (daily show, 24, etc) and they all get the "sorry for the inconvenience but this video is no longer available" message. I am using a DLink DSM-330.
Is anyone else having this problem? I am using plug-in version 1.5.3.2. Can someone help?
That could be when the first
That could be when the first commercial is supposed to be played.
When viewing a show on Hulu within my web browser, I find the first commercial hits about 5 minutes in, and if I have my browser's popup blocker enabled, Hulu complains saying it can't play the commercial.
Outstanding Interface. I'm
Outstanding Interface.
I'm using a VPN service here in England and it works very well but I can not seem to be able to enter my user/password when it comes to viewing videos for older viewers.
How...?
How do I find out my Hulu Queue UD and enter it?
I also cant seem to find how
I also cant seem to find how to get my Hulu ID. Any help is GREATLY appreciated! :)
I was able to figure out how
I was able to figure out how to accomplish this... In case someone else runs into this issue do the following:
- Goto http://www.hulu.com/users/profile
- Look at the address bar and you'll notice it has changed to your ID number
I was already logged into Hulu when I went to that URL. Not sure if you have to be previously logged in or not.
Hope this helps someone. God knows it took me a while to figure it out :)
INFO key
When you're in the Hulu plug-in, you should be able to hit the INFO key to get the instructions on where to find your queue id, too ;-)
as you said, it is a matter
as you said, it is a matter of Hulu Plug-in. i wish it would be easier.
Hulu User ID no longer in URL, but is available elsewhere
I hadn't accessed Hulu via Connected Server in some time. I had been working with DLNA equipment using the Play-on server directly with an HP renderer that also runs as a Vista Media Center Extender. ( Now a discontinued product.) I had been attempting to use a middleware solution to connect to the MCE and also an i-o data renderer based on the Avel Link 2 ( the JVC 100U ), also a discontinued product.
Mediamall's Play-on server uses the regular Hulu logon information, not the Hulu numeric ID.
I'd enjoyed my D-Link 330 so much and found it so easy to use, I gave it to my 84 y.o. mom and 92 y.o. dad who just love it. Missing it myself, I purchased another. I was so very impressed with Hulu plug-in,that's the first thing I tried on my new 330 D-Link. Since I hadn't used my numeric ID recently, I went to look it up according to the directions in the plug-in.
To my disappointment, no code number is present in the profile URL or any Hulu URL for that matter.
It took a bit of time looking for where the code might be embeded within the web pages code. Fortunately I didn't pursue that for long thinking if the the Hulu system wasn't completely rebuilt, the easiest place to put the numeric ID would be put in a cookie.
I found 7 cookies from Hulu. The name template is: PCusername@hulu(x).txt
each cookie has 3, 6, or 8 Key/Values. Every Hulu cookie has a Key named: _hulu_uid in either the 1st, 4th, or 6th Key. The Value of
_hulu_uid is the numeric value from the profile.
As a landmark, tne _hulu Key and Value always immediately follows the _hulu_uid Key/Value.
The path to you cookies in Vista is usually:
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Cookies
Unfortunately AppData is a hidden folder. One must change the setting in explorer under Tools - Folder Options... - View to unhide system folders to actually navigate there.
It can be a bit tricky finding the Key/Value combination with a plain text editor ie notepad, but I assure you it can be done.
I personally use a utility that lays out the data in a much more readable format, I believe that there are many such excellent utilities available. I use one that I am familiar with and can recommend it without hesitation. I use Karen's Cookie Viewer ver. 3.6 by Karen Kenwothy. Her tools are copyrighted; however, the tools are free for personal,non-commercial purposes. She sells site licenses for commercial use of her tools. Her web sites is:
http://www.karenware.com
I would imagine based on the high quality of the Hulu plug-in that its author will eventually have the plug-in take the Key _hulu_uid
and its Value directly from the Cookie.

Hulu Videos Stuttering
I've noticed this on longer videos (i.e. hour TV shows, movies). About half-way through the video or so, it starts to really stutter and glitch. By the end of it, things are usually really bad and make watching very difficult.
Has anyone else noticed this with this plug-in? Anyone taken the time to watch something full-length. We were able to reproduce it on another computer, so I'm pretty sure that its not just mine freaking out.
It'd be nice to fix the problem if it's something that can be addressed on our end...
Cannot stream Hulu HD content
"Sorry, we are unable to stream this video. Please check your Internet connection and try again."
The above is the error message I get when trying to stream Hulu HD content.
Note that I can:
> Stream Hulu SD
> I can also play Hulu HD and SD on the PC I am streaming from
> There are no LAN throughput issues, as I can stream very high bitrate HD videos without any probs.
Any suggestions on how to fix this? Can the plugin be tweaked?
I am using DSM-330 with all latest FW and PC server.
Thanks.
They don't allow embed on HD
Since the Hulu plug-in is based on the fact that they allow users to embed content, any content they DO NOT allow users to embed WILL NOT work in the plug-in. HD content is a prime example of this... when you visit the HD content in their website, you'll note that there's no embed option. This is the only explanation I can think of right now, but this is also true for other services (like Dailymotion, Break...), if they don't allow embed on a clip, then it doesn't work in Connected :'(
Will this work in Australia?
Just curious as to whether or not this will work in Australia as i know on the site it is currently restricted to USA only.
Anyone know?
It only works in the USA
