Almost perfectly happy new user :)
Lovin' my new DivX Connected DSM-330. Much better than the LINKSYS DMA2100 it replaced.
Have a couple of problems I hope someone can help with. I've searched the forums & can't find anything similar.
The black screen-saver; If I leave the black screen on a few minutes, it will never return to the menu no matter what button I press. Even the power button on the DSM-330 will not work. I have to pull the power lead out to reboot it. Pressing a remote button only brings it back to life after a very short period of it going to black.
Secondly, I've noticed jerky playback. No stutters or jumps. Its like its playing the videos at a reduced framerate. So a 25FPS video 'looks like' 20FPS. Really noticeable on scenes with high motion. This seems to be the case on all my videos which are 95% Xvid encoded. I've just now converted one video from XVID to DIVX & its beautifully smooth. Is there an issue with XVIDS?? IS there something I can do to improve it?
I'm using a wired connection & the PC is a E6850 @3.8 GHz, Nvidia 9800GTX & 4GB ram.
Thanks guys,
George

Thanks!!! Un-installing 1.4
Thanks!!! Un-installing 1.4 & replacing with 1.3 fixed it!
There seems to be no Flash support & 3x Fastforward in this version?
RE: Almost perfectly happy new user :)
Did you update your DivX Connected server software, firmware and video card? This is a good starting point for the issues you describe.
You can find the latest FW on D-Links website and you can download the latest server software here..
Let me know if this works.
XVID Playback
Runwaypimp,
There is an issue with XVID Playback on server1.4 which we are still waiting to be fixed (see the other posts here).
I would suggest using 1.3 until they fix it.
