Hi,
i can play my divx tv-recordings properly on my nokia n78. but after i cut the commercials with avidemux (www.avidemux.org for more info) divx player mobile doesnt play the sound anymore. its still there, all players in windows play it.
i just cut and then stream copy audio and video. so there is no conversion, the files are still avi with divx and mp3.
when i encode audio to lame mp3 there is still no sound. if i convert the sound with SUPER to mp3 and stream copy video, divx player mobile plays the sound.

any1 can help? i dont want to convert every movie that ive cut, i just want to copy it to my mobile and watch it, without conversion...

i also asked in the avidemux-forum but nothing worked, here the url to the discussion: http://www.avidemux.org/admForum/viewtopic.php?id=5231
maybe this might help...i dont know... =)

greetings
duffman
oh yeah!

Test-Video

Here I have a test-video edited with avidemux and doesn't work on the phone I don't find any difference to "raw" video. Perhaps you can find one.

test1.avi

Your test1.avi file is not suitable for DivX Mobile Player. Your video has an average bitrate of 1756 kbps. I would recommend 400 kbps or less. Your resolution is 640 x 336. Try 320 x 240 or less. Your audio bitrate is 160 kbps. Try 128 kbps or less. Your video includes BVOP frames. Those will work but I recommend avoiding them for Mobile devices.

In addition to all that, you should ensure that the max bitrate stays well below 600 kbps and that the max buffer size is less than 64 K.

FourCC Codes

avidemux might be changing something in the file structure such as the FourCC code for the audio. I would analyze the file with GSpot (http://www.headbands.com/gspot/) and see what it reports for the A/V streams. I'd also try remuxing the file (without re-encoding the media) using a tool like ffmpeg or VirtualDub.

Ultimately, it may be an unresolvable quirk in avidemux.
