Dear all,
I installed player 7 with divx h264 beta 3 but have some problem with Progdvb.
It is recognized as codec but instead using it Progdvb use the default codec (that is coreavc).
If I use the graphs with Progdvb 5.16.1 with divx h264 decoder and VMR 7 I obtain a black screen.
But I'm able to see the a recorded h264 TS media file with graphstudio and divx h264 as decoder.
Perhaps there is to register the Divx h264 with a code?
I see in the registration program that under Divx Media pack there is Divx h264 codec + AAc is not registred.
May you send me an activation code please if needed?
Or may you tell me how to use the divx h264 codec using a dvb app like Progdvb?
Thank you for any help.

Dear DigitAl56K, for make

Dear DigitAl56K,
for make .ts h264 working in Progdvb you need Progdvb Pro.
You can find a shareware version of Progdvb 6.01 Pro here:
http://download.progdvb.com/trial/ProgDVB6.01Pro.exe
It should work for 20 days.
If you need some .ts recorded from Astra HD just tell me where to upload them to you. :)

In my test
With playback of recorded .ts strange thing is that under Progdvb divx h264 doesn't works, but other codecs like ciberlink and Coreavc work (with some bugs).

Divx h264 used under Player 7 or also MPC HC is on my opinion for now best solution because:
- cyberlink is heavy if you don't use HW accel, but if you use HW accel it is buggy (in some point of the playback there you can notice a corrupted image with many unshaped rectangoular blocks on the margins of shapes and after some second it goes in a sort of infinite loop repeating some seconds of the corrupted video).
-CoreAvc have a 5-10% more cpu usage than Divx H264.
-so Divx h264 is the faster one, great thing would be if it could permit hw accel :)

The other strange thing is

The other strange thing is that if I use graphedt supplied with progdvb and also graphstudio all is good using divx h264 with all Video renders.
Teorically what works in graphedt and graphstudio should work also in Progdvb.
For testing graph in Progdvb you need version 5 available here (last version using progengine 2 and also own made gprahs):
http://download.progdvb.com/history/ProgDVB5.16.2Pro.exe

I did try ProgDVB Pro, I'm

I did try ProgDVB Pro, I'm not sure why it is not working on my system. I will try it again on another system :)

HW accel would be nice, agreed! For the first release we're focusing on making SW decode as nice as possible. HW will come later :)

Re: Player 7 and Progdvb

You are right that DivX Player will not natively handle .ts files.

With regard to ProgDVB, I can't get it to play any .ts/AVC file at all, whether or not the DivX H.264 Decoder is selected. I've installed ProgDVB Pro and the Elecard filters for ProgDVB, I've tried CoreAVC and I've tried ffdshow.

About player 7 and playback of h264 ts file

Player 7 work good with playback of ts files but you need to install the hali splitter from hali website.
the MKV splitter you provided with divX h264 beta 3 isn't enought. Player 7 without hali say the (ts) file isn't supported. But all good if hali installed.
Player 7 seems well enanched with divx codec with my test ts file recorded from Astra HD I have a cpu load of 40%-65% that differ for a good 10% in exceed if divx h264 codec is used with MPC HC.
Next I' ll post my dxdiag cpuz and more
