Player 7 distorted sound after FFW / RW
If i use the player 7 with a Xvid stream with mp3 audio the audio get distorted after FFW or RW.
It has a strange crackling sound.
It happens with all the video's i currenty have with Xvix and mp3.
Previous Divx 6 bundle didn't have this problem.
What can i do to fix this?
(audio stream is fine with divx connected after ffw / rw)

I can't recreate your problem, I'm going to e-mail you an ftp address where you can upload a sample file.
Ok'e, if updated my realtek driver to the latest version.
(As suggested in a different post)
This kept me busy for 4 hours as this f***edup my entire audio setup.
However, after hours spent patching my config it looks like the crckling noise is gone.
Keep you informed of any changes.
p.s. Where there any audio changes in divX player 7 i can use to locate the cause of my trouble with my audio?
My previous driver did its job for over an year without any problems.
Not until i installed divx player 7 that is.
Maybe there is still a bug in there somewhere.
We have experienced the same audio phantom on 3 discreet machines [server, workstation, desktop; all with professional reference grade sound cards].
Our experience with 'crackle-static' audio is most effected at the peaks of the waveform/sine wave, thus not audible during silence.
Also, this is only an intermittent phantom - not constant and, as of yet, not predictable, at least in our facility.
The file types and compression containers seem to be irrelevant to the derivative cause, still unknown.
We have experienced it in videos with AAC, AC3, & MP3 compressions.
Ogg, FLAC, and all PCM remain unaffected.
I have found that restarting the player and reloading the file does resolve the issue. So at this point - we are dealing with it simply as a bug.
We'll forward a download link for the next file with which this occurs.
Keep up the great work!
Cheers,
