DivX7 Playback Preview
the video and sound is not synchronized when i playing MKV if i use other player it plays ok (VlC) thank you for the player over all the player works great playing other media (mp4,avi)
Several videos I encoded in h.264 have what i call a "wraparound" issue where a portion of what is supposed to be the far left side of the screen plays on the far right side of the screen.
I think I've narrowed this to videos that have been cropped so the screen size is 716x480 or another such non-multiple of 16.
I can give you a screen shot if you need to verify.
Not sure if that's a limitation of the player or something wrong with the encode.
i've instaled the DIVX WEB PLAYER but every time i try to watch a video after buffering it doesn't play back at all.can somebody help me please?
Sound Problems are gone for me, since I installed the latest driver yesterday.
Thanks for the update Indy.
I am getting the same problem. speech and video out of synch. on .MKV files which play normally on Windows Media Player, VLC and Media Player Classic. My sound card is:- SB Audigy (a400) with the latest driver from Creative.
Do you know what card model that is specifically? Is it an Audigy 2 series? 4 series?
Also, if you run DXDiag (from Start->Run) and click the Sound tab, what specific driver version and date does it list?
Hi,
I hope I may use this thread for my problems too.
First of all, sth. about the system:
-Realtek Onboard Sound (it´s a notebook)
-Vista Ultimate x64 SP1
-I only used the divX Player
-I´ve Admin rights (UAC disabled)
1.After the install you can set DivX player as default for mkv.
That and "Open with...", selecting divx player and marking "using as default application for this file type" don´t work.
They both create a "new" filetype: "mkv'" and set divx player as default for this.
Same thing like divx player6.
2.The program for codec configuration was not updated nor deleted, it´s the only thing which still is in German.
3.The video playback quality is not as good as with the latest stable player(at least for .avi files)
-black or very dark areas look a little sandy
-less sharp
-if the camera moves up and diagonal lines are in the picture you get the "stairs effect"(is this the right word? I don´t know. It looks like antialiasing is turned of in video games.)
-.mkv files look a bit sandy overall
Using: Full deblocking and sharpening as PP-Mode and tried Bob and None as Deinterlacing
4.All .mkv files have only noisy sound. The noise is really loud so you nearly can´t hear any normal sound.
Some file informations:
File One:
FormatTag : "8192" (Dolby AC3 Audio)
6 channels, 48000Hz
File Two:
Audio Track #1:
FormatTag : "8193" (Dolby DTS Audio)
6 channels, 48000Hz
The notebook has only stereo speakers but the player is set to use stereo sa default.
Turning Audio Enhancer of and on made no big deal.
5.Sound flickers in all .mpg files.
A little OT: Check for Updates don`t worked with DivX6 under Vista x64, would be nice to get this solved for DivX7.
Thanks for the better seeking and fast-foreward support. As good fast-backward would also be really nice.
Please tell me:
* Which player(s) is the audio not synchronized in?
* What sound card do you have?
There is a known synchronization issue with Realtek sound cards right now.
To see what you have click Start->Run->Type "DXDiag"->Click OK->Click "Sound 1" tab. Please report the device name, driver version, driver date, and driver provider listed on this screen.
Hi,
I'm not the one who opened the thread but I got the same issue (slow sound in mkv playback). I have an onboard sound card (asus m2n32-sli's)
Sound 1 Tab :
Name: ADIHdAud.sys
Version: 6.10.002.6110 (English)
Date ...2007
Provider: AnalogDevices
a+, =)
