Did everyone see the auto-update for the firmware? This time, found the wired connection just fine. As with the last one, you have to go through the setup wizard again, but after that you should be back in business :-)

Installed the update everything seems to be working this time around
except one thing. the start up screen where you get the 4 boxes
I only get that on the top half of my screen the bottom is just green buzzing lines. The tv says its 720 x 480 @ 60 Hz

Okay, i got my....
I just got my box up and running again, with the new firmawre...So what's new? other then no POST (Which was very good for detecting problems, i miss it already) and the Connected logo in the beggining?
Also, is a force 4:3 video to 16:9 function coming? This is very important for me and some other people..without this function, i have to use SDTV mode to get 4:3 videos stretched through the whole screen...I really wished there would be a function like that in HDTV mode, because using my tv in SDTV mode while it can be in HDTV, that really bugs me...
Ok here, it went smooth
(unplugged for a few seconds after the update).
EDIT: mine's connected wireless right now (btw, good wireless hardware by Atheros, it works nicely with my Netgear router downstairs).
I receive an error....
I get an error after I press yes, to update the firmware..it says firmware upgrade failed...I'm using wireless connection...Any ideas?
Wired failsafe
Did you see the comment on your ticket by Dan, saying that the failsafe should kick in if you're wired over Ethernet? It needs to obtain a valid IP... let us know what happens when you try wiring the box to the router.

Uhm, timing out due to a marginal connection maybe? I had no probs (my box shows 70% signal strength).
