Hello,

I understand that the mobile/qmobile platform does not require subtitle support. But if I encode a movie with the converter in custom mode, setting the appropriate bitrates, will it let me add a subtitle (or play a subtitle in the respective folder, with correct title/extension)?
it would really be cool to have a player with subtitles, since the only one right now capable of it, is the handango smartmovie, which is around USD30.
Even if paid for, it would be very useful.

(phone: Nokia N95)

thanks

Subtitle for mobile.

Hi,

I'd like to reinforce the suggestion to include subtitle support in DIVX player mobile. As you can imagine, there are several users that aren't English speakers and have to convert the AVI file to MP4 and hard-code the subtitles. It takes a lot of time and patience, since you got errors when trying to do it. It would be really nice simply copy the AVI file and the respective subtitle file and watch on DIVX mobile player.

Thank you and regards,
Fernando

Re: subtitle for mobile

Thank you for your suggestion. We will consider it for upcoming versions of the Mobile SDK.

Currently you would have to hard-code your subtitles into the video stream for mobile playback with DivX.
