Mobile Player expired.
Hi,
I'm using the DivX Mobile Player on my N73 and today (1 December) it stopped working. It displays a message that it expired and I should go to mobile.divx.com to get a new version. I've downloaded the latest version and installed it but still no-go. Even after uninstalling the previous one earlier.
Any tips?
i have also same problem in my nokia n79

hello sir i am using nokia n73 from last two days my divx player is showing a error that " a new version of the player is available. press ok or go to http://mobile.divx.com to get the latest version." but when i downloaded the latest version from the given address then also i am facing the same problem.. so please help me...
I have the same error on my HTC Rose Windows 6.1 device. I haven't messed around with the date. The version I'm using is 0.94. I'm assuming I'll need v1.0 to correct this? I see there is a version for symbian. Any news on when v1.0 will be available on windows?

I've nokia n73 andDMPO.94 installed on it.it worked propertly till yesterdan now it says that player expired and suggest to press ok to go tn mobile. Divx.com but exit on pressing ok and new verition is not avalable yet hard reset not working reinstalled 10-15 times dont what to do.
hi, i was using 0.94 verson for Divx player as the upgraded verson was not excepting to my handset Nokia E5. Even i have upgraded my handset os version.. From 31st Mar 11 i am not been able to use as getting msg as EXPIRED, UPGRADE TO A NEWER VERSION, UNINSTALED AND REINSTALLED THE SAME VERSION AND EVEN TRIED WITH THE 1.O VERSION.. But still with same error.. EXPIRED..

I've got the problem with the expiration message, my phone is a Nokia N95-8GB.
I've previously download the 0,91 version, maybe 2 weeks ago.
To solve the problem "temporarily" I've reset the phone system date (turn back) 'bout one month BACK.
For me, do it daylly is not much annoying, cu'z I usually watch the videos just in the morning while in the bus going to work.
So got to reset the date just once a day...
Anyway, I've just download the 0,92 vers. and it's working very fine, and hope WONT see any expiration message for a LONG TIME.
Just in time, Does anyone know HOW LONG this version will work? It will be 'bout a YEAR of a few months only?

i've nokia N73, and DMP 0.91 installed on it. it worked propertly till yesterday.
now it says that player expired and suggests to press OK to go to mobile.divx.com but exit on pressing OK

hard reset not workig. reinstalled 5-6 times. dont know what to do

There will be a new version available 30-Mar-2009 although I'm not sure why your copy is expired. Version 0.91 should still be functional until April.
In general, DivX Mobile Player is Beta software and may not be fully functional.

I see your problem now. The Nokia N70 uses S60 2nd Edition Feature Pack 3 based on Symbian OS v8.1a. There is no version of DMP 0.91 available for S60 2nd Edition. Older versions of DMP have expired. You'll need a more recent phone like the N73.
Alternatively, consider the Samsung INNOV8 which is the first DivX Certified Symbian S60 phone. The INNOV8 does not require DMP.
I have Asus P320 and installed V0.91 everything worked well until WM hanged. After hard reset player giving expired error.But I am installed later version, what else I can too?

Preform a hard reset back to all factory defaults. Verify that DMP is no longer present. Properly set the system date/time. Then install DMP 0.91.
Let me know if you still get the player expired message.
I have that problem too.
If you are using DMP 0.91 and you see an error message that the player has expired, it may be that DMP has wrongly decided there has been some tampering with the date on your phone. Unfortunately, the only solution to this situation is to either wait for the next release of DMP or perform a hard-reset on your phone and re-install DMP 0.91.
DMP 0.91 is only available free for a limited time and eventually all copies will expire.
I see. So you're not allowed to change the date of the phone at all or are there some limits?
Any estimates when a new version will be out?

The player installed successfully and worked before that happened. The wording for me is exactly the same as for Kronikarz. Pressing OK closes the player.
I have the same problem. The message is: "Player expired! A new version of the player is available. Press OK or go to http://mobile.divx.com to get the latest version." When I press OK the player exits.
The weird thing is it worked two or three times before, but I found that I had to resize my videos for the player to play them well. So I left the phone for a while, and when I tried to open DivX player again, it gave me that message.
Did DMP 0.91 install successfully? When you start the 0.91 player do you still see an expiration message? What is the exact words of the message?
And reinstalling the application does not help.
