How to change .avi bitrate from 192kbps to 112kbps

Hi,

I cant hear any sound on movies that I load up on my N95 with bitrates above 112 kbps....so how do I convert a 192kbps to 112 kbps?

I have tried Virtual Dub and I get the error message "no audio decomressor could be found to decompress the source audio..."

Suggetions please

Is it MP3?

What audio codec is used on your movies? DMP will only play MP3 audio but some DivX files have AC3 audio. If you have AC3 audio and you don't have an AC3 codec, VirtualDub will display the "no audio decompressor" error message and DMP won't play the sound.

Try installing the free, AC3Filter from: http://ac3filter.net/projects/ac3filter

Install AC3Filter on your PC (not on your phone). Then use VirtualDub to convert the audio track into 128 kbps MP3.
