Unsupported Phones
What's the difference between a DivX Certified phone and a DivX compatible phone?
A certified phone plays DivX video right out of the box. No additional steps required. A DivX compatible phone requires installing DivX Mobile Player software to add DivX playback capability. Do not try to install DivX Mobile Player on a DivX Certified phone. It is not required or recommended. For information about DivX Certified phones, see http://mobile.divx.com
Is DivX Available for my Phone?
We frequently get requests along the lines of "which version of the player do I need for the XYZ phone?" Unfortunately, we can't provide an exhaustive list of supported phones. Basically you need a Windows Mobile 5+ phone or a Symbian 9+ phone.
What is the Operating System on my Phone?
Generally we can't answer this question for you but if you are having trouble figuring what OS is on your phone then it probably is NOT a Windows or Symbian phone.
What about the iPhone or Blackberry or Android?
We get a lot of questions about these phones but there is no version of DivX Mobile Player available for any Blackberry, Android or iPhone.
What about the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic or N97?
The Nokia N97 and 5800 use Symbian 9.5 S60 5th Edition. This is a relatively new operating system and currently there is no version of DivX Mobile Player available for any S60 5th Edition phone.
What about older Windows and Symbian phones?
Earlier versions of DMP were available for Windows Pocket PC 2003 and earlier versions of Symbian. Unfortunately DivX is unable to continue supporting the older models and has discontinued everything earlier than Windows Mobile 5 and Symbian 9.
What about Palm?
Many phones from Palm use Windows Mobile and are compatible with the Windows Mobile Professional version of DivX Mobile Player. However, many phones from Palm use the Palm OS also known as the Garnet OS. Palm Garnet OS phones are not compatible with DMP.
When will my phone be supported?
We may include support for more models in the future but we won't announce any product plans ahead of time.

i have to face update problem plz
help me...
yet another DivXless N97 user. Help us DivX-Wan Kenobi you're our only hope!
DivX Mobile Player sort of works on S60 5th Ed devices other than the fact that it ignores touch screen input. I know this is a problem for the Nokia 5800 which has no physical keys, but doesn't the N97 have a navigation pad and don't those keys work as expected in DMP? Is the only problem a lack of softkeys? We might be able to map the softkeys to some alpha keys (like Q and P) so that you could use DMP with the N97 keyboard.
Along the same line of thought, does anybody have a 5800 with a Bluetooth keyboard? Does that work with DMP?
Some problem with this link to list of DivX Certified phones http://www.divx.com/mobile/
I have Nokia 5800 XM
HEEELP!! I want DIVX mobile!!!!
I just bought new Nokia N98. When do you plan to support this phone?
Time to get your thumb out.......???
It amazes me how long it takes to reprogram to the new systems. With so many N97 and 5800 Phones and IPhones and the new Android you would think it might me of some sort of priority as the supported systems are outdated. Does that mean that DivX is becoming outdates and we should look for a new Codec?
DivX Mobile Player is free, beta software available for a limited time for a limited number of devices. It will never be available for all phones but there are an increasing number of DivX certified phones that play DivX video right out of the box. DivX certified phones include some Android and S60 devices. Unfortunately, the iPhone, N97 and 5800 specifically are still unsupported.
If you enjoy watching DivX videos on your phone, please consider trading up to a DivX certified device.

please support in future release.
Divx Player for N97, please
when divx will be available for N97.we need it
I have Sony Ericsson Satio ( U1i ), based on Symbian S60 5th Edition, I know it's not supported yet, but I registred here just to give another vote for this OS version as it is becoming more popular these days...
specially most phones based on this system are high-end ( or mid-range ) and all have widescreen making them ideal for movie playpack...
just add both touch support + motion sensor control option to the player :D
when my n97 will suport divx m p?
I have read all the instructions, followed all the links on these forums but for some reason nothing works. When I copy the activation video to my device it asks me if I want to convert it to mp4 format, I have tried both yes and no. If I don't convert it the video does not even play saying "the device is not authorized to play this video". If it is played in mp4 it is just pixelated grey screen with sound. After the first time I tried this the device registration code changed. I am wondering how I am going to get this to work, am I doing anything wrong ? And can you help me to get divx(R) VOD to work please.
There is no need to complete VOD registration on your S8000. See http://labs.divx.com/node/8825
It's not clear exactly what is prompting you to convert your video when you copy it to your phone but VOD activation files cannot be converted. VOD files are encrypted. Trying to convert a VOD file will result in the pixelated gray screen you described.
If the the device registration code changed then you must have successfully registered your device even if you never saw the activation video play. Unfortunately, the only way to confirm that your phone is now registered is to purchase and play a VOD file on your phone. However, there are currently no Mobile resolution VOD files available for sale.
Hi,
I have looked through all forums on Divx and Divx labs and noticed that there isn't a single answer regarding topics about downloading of Divx player on sony ericsson's mobile phones..I was trying to find out if it was possible to download the Divx player on my new W995, but i am having trouble...
Previously owned a Nokia N95, a Nokia N85 and had downloaded Divx without a single problem...Now I have a W995 but i can't seem to be able to do the same.
Is that because it is not one of the supported phones ? Please can i have a decisive answer ?
ty
There are some Sony Ericsson Symbian UIQ 3.0 phones that are compatible with DivX Mobile Player. Unfortunately, many SE phones are not compatible.
Iam from slovakia:
I have Samsung S8000,
install divX player for this mobile? thanks
The Samsung S8000 Jet is a DivX Certified phone. DivX Mobile Player is not needed or recommended for the S8000. The Jet will play DivX Mobile videos right out-of-the-box.
i cant see the cab file no matter where i put it on my phone it seems so simple on website but when i load it and try to run it its nowhere to be found !!!
what am i doing wrong :(
The LG Arena is a DivX Certified phone. A certified phone plays DivX video right out of the box. No additional steps required. Do not try to install DivX Mobile Player on a DivX Certified phone. It is not required or recommended.
ok so i converted a movie to divx dragged into the video folder off my phone from PC tried to play it says not supported what am i doing wrong ?????
aaarrrgghhh and now i have converted to divx mobile it now says drm: rights expired WTF ??? why are things never simple this is getting ridiculous plsss help !!!
You should not get a "DRM: rights expired" message using a video that you have created yourself using the Mobile profile.
Some non-mobile profile videos seem to give the odd "DRM: rights expired" message. We aren't sure why that's the error message, but we do know the LG Arena cannot play DivX videos above 320x240. See http://labs.divx.com/node/8283
I entered my code and downloaded the movie off the divX player. When i open the video on my LG Arena it comes up with DRM: rights expired!!!
HELP!
Nokia 5800?
i need divx player for nokia 5800
The sample videos play in the player, however, since there are no 'Menu' and 'Options' buttons, I cannot open any other videos. If you can put up the same version of DIVX so that it works with the touchscreen or keypad shortcut, it may work with this OS
Come on guys, a DivX app for symbian s60v5 is required immediatelly. What's taking so long?
Another vote for divx support for S60 5th edition...
Please reply approximately when to expect divx player version for Symbian S60 5th edition
We may include support for more models in the future but we won't announce any product plans ahead of time.
Stop repeat the same answer all time or else I plan to bye one of the two certified phones instead.
Another vote for my precious N97 - it has a S60 - ver 5 operating system..
I hate phone operating systems. Usually, monopolies are BAD, but it seems like we need another Bill Gates here in this sector.

Samsung jet has the divx(R) vod registration. how can i do so? when i try to see videos with divx, i'm receiving unsupported format
For VOD registration, see http://labs.divx.com/node/8825
For "unsupported format", see http://labs.divx.com/node/7774
The two issues are unrelated.

hi,
is there any divx player for java platform.
I tested with my new LG Incite from AT&T and it works It worked as Windows Mobile 6 Classic from the download place. It still needs some improvement with it like when I flip it, it does not come out property. also the video looks a little laggy. well, hope you guys works on a new version.
Well, if you thought the Classic version lagged, you should try the Professional version (Which the INCITE says it is). It basically locked up the phone it ran so slowly.

The Samsung Ultra Touch S8300 is a DivX Certified phone that can play DivX videos right out of the box. You do not need to install any additional software.
If you don't have DivX software on your PC/Mac, then download the complete DivX bundle from http://divx.com/divx
