When can we expect a new version of Connected Server with full MKV support??

Thanks!

Now that DivX 7 is out I can

Now that DivX 7 is out I can say that the next server version will support DivX 7 when the free DivX 7 player is also intalled on the PC.

That means MKV support for Connected.

The new server 1.5 is in QA now and was demonstrated at CES but I can not give a date yet for the beta release.

Will DivX 7 playback be via

Will DivX 7 playback be via transcoding as I presume the DSM-330 Sigma chip cannot decode H264?

Also, if version 1.5 received a public demonstration at CES, any chance of letting us know of any additional features that may make this release?

Amongst other things.....

An update to the good Doctor for MKV and DivX H264 encoding would be great. The Converter only allows target file size rendering options and no subtitles (Although they can be added later using mkvmerge) I am not aware of any other programs that can use the DivX 7 H264 encoder yet.

My experience thus far with DivX 7 is great otherwise, Videos created with the HD plus profile look crisp and clean, but it would be nice if there was an option in converter for multi pass encoding.

Great job DivX team, and to all those from the Project Remoulade team who helped make this codec a reality!
