GOOD MORNING, I'D LIKE TO BUY A MEDIA PLAYER, BUT I CAN'T UNDERSTAND IF WITH DSM 330, I MUST HAVE PC ON WITH SOME SOFTWARE RUNNING, I DON'T NEED THIS BECAUSE ALL MY MULTIMEDIA ARE ON A NAS IN THE NETWORK,

CAN ANYBODY HELP ME?

THANKS A LOT..

PC Runs the Software

slow-v is correct... You need the PC only for running the server software for the DSM-330. You'll still be able to access the content stored on your NAS (this is what I personally do) as a mapped drive to your PC, where the DivX Connected server scans it for its media library, along with running the plug-ins that give you the Internet services (like Youtube, Hulu, Last.fm, etc.).

Morning Sweetroswell, yes

Morning Sweetroswell,
yes you do need to have the PC running the DSM 330 need to have Divx connected running. It does not matter where you store your media.
