Connected not scanning

After several months of trouble free (touch wood) use the system has suddenly developed a scanning problem. I started the server and checked some new photos that I had added - they were listed but there was just a symbol instead of a thumbnail. This also applied to a video that I had just added.

I checked the server and it said it was still scanning (50%CPU)

I left it running for several hours but it just continued scanning

The only system change has been a defrag.

I appear to have fixed it

I renamed the two database files and started up Connected. Starting to add folders and it appears to be working
