2 problems.

Hi. I like divix web player so soo much,( since time of stage6 ) so i decide to put divx web player on my site. First problem is that player doesnt recognize divx video. I convert divx video to avi ( xvid ) and working. I try also with mkv extension but not working. So, why doesnt working divx video, converted in divx video converter and avi works.
Second problem is that buffering is too slow. 30 mb video, 3.30,min. loading 10 min. First it was video of 90 mb, than i converted to 30 mb file. ( I use payed hosting and i think it's not problem whit that because when I download from server ( via ftp ) the download speed is about 200kb/s. Thanks for answer, and sorry bad english.

Web Player

Make sure your server is using the correct MIME type for ".avi" and ".divx" files. Their MIME type should be "video/divx".

What exactly are you converting from/to? Most DivX and AVI and Xvid files are all constructed the same way, namely MPEG4-ASP video with MP3 audio in an AVI file container. So "converting divx to xvid" seems redundant.

DivX Player

I too have the latest DivX version and also the latest Firefox. I can not play any DivX videos at all from any site and I have tried many. I do have the paid pro version also. I saw somewhere on this site where other people were having the same problem as well. I tried to uninstall Firefox and go back to the 2.0 but I can't do that either. Does anyone have any helpful suggestions?

Thanks!

Rene'
