plug-in installation

i created a simple html plug-in that contains a flash movie

when i double click on the .zpi file i get the message "Plug-in installation successful. To begin using the plug-in, navigate to the plug-ins menu on your DixV Connected device"
when i do that, the plug-in doesn't show up...(even after restarting the server or the pc)

if i manually move the cpi,html,swf and png files of the plug-in to the C:\Program Files\DivX\DivX Connected\Bin\DivX Connected\framework\plugins folder, the plug-in shows up in the plug-ins menu, and works OK

am i missing something? how can the installation be successful, yet the plug-in is not there?
