I installed DivX Mobile Successfully on my Motorola Q (the first one).
But whenever I play a video, it freezes after a few seconds. Sometimes it doesn't even open and just freezes. My whole phone freezes. One time I got the error saying Failed to Alloc Memory or somethign along those lines. What is the problem? Is my phone just not capable of playing the video?

Out of Memory?

Maybe you are really running out of memory. Do you have a lot of applications installed on your device?

You might try making sure all other applications are closed before starting DivX Mobile Player. Remember, Windows Mobile keeps many programs active even if you can't see them. You'll need to kill all other running processes.

Any other Moto Q owners having difficulty or success?

Yes all the other programs

Yes all the other programs are closed. I think I've figured out the problem though. It maybe my SD card. I tried putting the video on the phone and opening it from there and it worked perfectly. When I save it to my SD card on the other hand and then open it, it plays for a few seconds and freezes. Do you think the SD card is just defective?

Too Slow

Your SD card may be too slow. A newer faster card might be able to smooth out your playback problems.
