I am having troubles using Divx. Everything was fine a few days back but now, whenever i try to play a video, it says;

The Divx Player could not download the video, please check your Internet connection.

I dont think i have any problems with my internet connection. Please help me, im hooked onto the superb picture quality Divx has to offer. Cheers

Sam

software problem?

Had the same problem, but I noticed not everything was removed. Do a search for divx on your computer and see if you see some folders. If you do. Then delete them. Now try to download the older version and see if that worked. I had this problem with Vista but didn't with XP so it may have something to do with the software.

DivX problems

I recently upgraded to the latest version of DivX.

The installation was successful; However I could no longer watch online movies that uses DivX such as Stagevu- which I could view before

I uninstalled and reinstalled the program, thinking it was one of those unexplainable things that happen. No success

I went on the internet and found that version 8 does not work to down grade to 7.0; I uninstalled 8.0 and installed 7.0 Same problem occured-- the internet site does not find divx and asks me to install again-- an endless loop.

I tried the same thing with version 6.8

Same problem

HELP!!!

I hit the download button and it goes to the can not display web page screen and tells me to check my internet connection. I know I have a connection. Has anyone been able to get this fixed?

This happens to me too but I

This happens to me too but I thought it was just a fluke. But it could be that my DNS or Apaché was DoS'd.

post a link

Can you post a link to a page with a video that gives you this error so we can check it out?

I will say that many times the video source has been removed when users see this message, but if you post a link, we can check it out.

Same problem

I love DivX, the quality, the way the vids load, etc. Except now none will play anywhere or load for me at all. I can't even play the ones on your site when it confirms that your downloads are complete. I'm pretty sure it doesn't have anything to do with the vids having been removed. They're there, they just won't play for me. UGH!!! I get that error message no matter what I do. I'm going to try and change my preferences to NOT download videos and see if they'll at least load & play then.

I didn't have to end up doing that at all. I went to this site many have mentioned, theninjavideo.net. And there they have a link to download the 1.5 version of DivX webplayer. That one works fine now. I just won't update. I never had a problem until I updated everything. There are some serious bugs in the system. I'll stick to the older version. Yay!!!
