DivX connected server crashed after ~10 minutes - affects all versions other than original boxed version - HELP
Hi - I have a DLINK DSM-D330 and run the DIVXConnected server on a Dell XPS M1530 laptop via a netgear wireless router. With all version other than the original boxed version the server looses connection after around 10 minutes or so. I have read some other posts that talk about disabling WEP and using MAC addresses which is what I have already but I still get the issue. Desperate to use the new functionality of the later version of the Server app but am struggling. Any ideas please I AM DESPERATE :) Thanks, Sherlock
ok thanks - I'll give that a try :)

I have had problems with the server crashing like this, which of course means you lose connection, I eventually tracked it down to some corrupt musicand/or video files in my collection which were picked up as part of the directory scan. It may be worth installing the server but not letting it scan for all your files straight away. Just point it at a few files to prove it all works and see if you can get past the 10 minute barrier. After that start moving your media files into the directories that are scanned and try and spot which files are being scanned when it crashes.
You could also try using a wired connection if you can to try and isolate whether it is a wireless problem or the server crashing.
