Problems: Divx Mobile player- Omnia i910
Had I not seen this product work before, I would assume it was me and never made a post about this, but since I did her goes...
I know the i910 is Dvix certified. Therefore no "need" to install it. However, I did install it on a previous Omnia and it worked flawlessly AND it increased the volume by at least 3 levels IMO. I had to take back the Omnia I originally had the working version of the Divx player on.
Now I have a new Omnia and I am having all sorts of problems. The player will not seek (fast forward) for at least 6 minutes - if at all. I can't rotate the screen to landscape without the screen going pitch black and not start again. It won't stop and load another movie within a 3 minute time frame. This did not happen with my other Omnia.
Has this happened to anyone else? I really liked this player over WMV and Touch player. I would like to use it again if there is fix for this. I have installed the WinMo PPC 5 versions and the Windows professional version of the player. Thanks in advance for any help.
I have only tried .avi files since they are automatically populated in the Divx view. Again, this was not a problem before. the dmp is the only thing that is playing .avi movies period now. Touch player and wmp especially don't play the files at all?!?!? is there a codec I am missing or should I register my phone in order for this stuff to work properly. I was told I did not have to since it was divx certified out of the box. This is really putting a damper on my movie experience since nothing is working right now.
The biggest problem is is that i can't seek with the dmp. if I could do that then everything would be great. fast forwarding just shuts the player down. ANY help would be appreciated.

DMP should work on the Omnia although the optical pad makes it difficult to use since DMP was designed for a traditional, 5-way navigation pad.
You can adjust the screen orientation in the DMP settings. The automatic rotation using the tilt sensor may not work.
Do all of the videos you try playing exhibit the same problems? Have you created these videos using the Mobile profile?
I would suggest trying again using a variety of files and make sure each was created using the DivX Mobile profile.
