Hi Gurus

Just got maself a dsm 330 & have to say I'm pretty impressed with it so far.

Can anyone help me to get the best from it with my basic system : 2.8ghz cpu, 1,5gb ram, Geforce 7300GT 500mb grafix card.

Streaming wireless with 62% signal but soon to get 85mpbs home plugs.

What do I need for playback of mkv files etc,

And any other info to get the best from the 330 would be great.

Hope someone can help

Thanks

Thanks

Thanks for the valuable info' guys

I have a slight problem though: I seem to be having a slight lag as if the motion is a tad behind on movie playback, is this down to my system or the wireless?, I hope when i use the homeplugs it will be a smoother playback.

Do you have an LCD TV?

Some digital TV's have a delay in the video and if you send the audio directly to a sound system from DSM-330 instead of going through the TV, the sound will be ahead of the video.

Are you using the TV speakers for the audio?

Are you using the TV speakers for the audio or a separate audio system? Do all videos have a slight delay?

Tv Speakers

I use the audio out on the tv connected to the aux on the hifi, so any audio from the tv is also amplified to through the hifi speakers.

It only seems to be downloaded content that has the slight lag and although it is slight its a bit distracting.

Server 1.5 Beta needs DivX 7 for MKV

Server 1.4.1 does not need DivX 7 for MKV if you have the Kamiwa hack. The next release of server 1.5 beta will also not need DivX 7.

When using a new .config file from Kamiwa, you must kill all DivXConnected processes in Task Manager then re-start the server in order to get the new .config file to be used by the server.

you need either the newest

you need either the newest serversoftware (donwload from connected section on this site) but this doesn't work as it should for me yet.

Alternative:
First install server 1.4.x. Go to kamiwa.de and download the rar/zip file in the latest post together with divx7. Just follow the instruction on kamiwa.de and you should be set to go!
