Web based MKV streaming is here

The DivX Plus Web Player has just been released with support for DivX Plus .mkv files (MKV/H.264/AAC). It can stream .mkv as well as .avi .divx files from a standard HTTP 1.1 server. It also supports H.264 video and AAC audio.

News live from IFA!

We're out at the IFA show in Berlin right now and we've been showing an in-development preview version with support for DivX Plus HD (MKV/H.264/AAC) ;) This will indeed work from a standard http server, just like previous versions of DivX Web Player.

Oh yes,,,

Oh yes this would be awesome, but I think this will not happen in the nearly future, because the bitstream of an mkv container file is to complicated for such things, to easly access it on http. it would be easy to setup a streaming server with input support for mkv.
