With Opera or iExplorer, no problem. The .avi video is correctly played with DWP like a .divx video. But, with Firefox, this video is launched either by QuickTime Player or Windows Media Player but never by DWP. And I don't know how to force Firefox to play .avi with the DWP...

I have yet tried to change the player with Tool>Options>Applications, but there is no way to add video/x-msvideo and link it to DWP... I am lost! Please is there anybody can help me?

There is different encoding for avi files. The player should play the avi so long as it has a divx codec (I think..) I had a similar problem and fixed this way:
I used a free converter "QuickMediaConverter" to convert my files to avi with Divx-encoding (use Divx selector at top for conversion mode). Then I renamed the file by simply changing its extension from .avi to .divx

The best way though is to use the Divx converter. It isn't free but gives you a trial period time and creates much smaller file sizes while keeping the quality.

Hope this helps
