I tried out the Windows Live Mesh beta today with Connected and it looks like a very nice way to let others send videos, photos etc, directly into a folder that is monitored by Connected.
When you have a Live mesh folder that others can add to, the new content will appear in the monitored folder at your TV when it is fully downloaded and ready to play.

Yes, this is an awesome idea. I have been doing this for a while now. In my experience Live Mesh seems to have very few bugs which is actually quite unbelievable considering how profoundly flawed ActiveSync has been for so many years!
