New LG HDTV connected?
I just noticed the new LG tv's.
apparently they support divx HD, but also h264 and aac etc.
They come with an LAN connection aswell as an usb connection.
Will these tv's be capable of connected?
Can DivX make these tv's connected?
Looks like LG allready have an license for DivX (+HD), so this shouldn't stop the party.
Hopefully this can provide a breakthrough for connected.....

Clear? :)
That Samsung looks nice, but I can only seem to find it online in the U.S., is it not available in Europe?
I checked the web-site, dont see any mention of a LAN connection?
check the specifications.....
See the interface header.
My Samsung Series 7 has pretty much the same setup. It is capable of streaming video using TVersity, and is capable of playing 1080p video. I would love to get a firmware update that adds Divx Connected compatibility with my TV (even if I had to pay a small fee, ~$50, to defray licensing fees). I've read that this strategy is on the road map for Divx Connected but it doesn't seem that they are making any progress (and getting passed up by other products). Whats the holdup??

they dont seem to have a lan socket in the 52" lcd's, I wonder why?
I don't think you're looking at the right ones...
I have a Series7 52in and it does have a 10/100 connection (and an optional wireless adapter as well):
Look under DLNA, I think the feature is only on the Series 7 and up (and most likely on the new LED TVs too)

BTW,I was talking about the LG's when I said the 52" did'nt have a lan connection, but thanks for the info about the Samsung.

Before this goes any further, can somebody please explain to me why when I post a reply it goes to the top of the thread?
