Running on Connected Server 1.5 with DivX 7, DSM 330 can only display .MKV files from Zune but no audio.

I tried kamiwa's hack, installed all in one package ver 1.5 for divx 7, didn't solve the problem.

The Media Player Classic plays the video and audio with no problem?

Would somebody please give me some pointers?

Thanks.

Edit: Media Player Classic reports that the audio file is Vorbis 44100 Hz

Same Problem

Hi!

I'm having the same problems as the others on this list. I've downloaded a quantity of MKV file from Vuze. These play OK on the the connected service but do not have any sound. Also when I try to either rewind or fast forward (which by the way does not work on MKV files) there's a message appears that says 'sound muted' though when you press the volume button it shows that the sound is OK.

There's no problem when playing AVI, DiVX, or other files.

Please advise as to an update on this as I'm fed up with having to to convert the MKV files to DiVX before I can play them on Connected.

BTW there's no problem with sound when playing the MKV files through the VLC Player.

I am running the latest

I am running the latest version of Vuze, version 4.2.

It is interesting. The thing is if I add Vuze Download folder to Divx Connected Video's folders, I can watch the downloaded Vuze Video (.MKV with Vorbis Audio) with audio, but if I use the Vuze Plug-In, again no sound.

Again when I open the Vuze Download folder, I see that all files are marked as Divx 7, when I try to open them ( naturally with Divx 7), Divx 7 complains that the audio part is incompetible and display video only.

The DSM 330 runs on the latest firmware, and the server is as I said 1.5 Build 75.

I am just confused since I have no experience with codecs and all.

Thanks again for your fast response..

DivX 7 does not support Vorbis audio.

But the Vuze service should work in Connected. I will double check that again here. Have you tried it from the Services menu or did you download a Vuze plug-in from Labs?

I have been trying to make

I have been trying to make it work through SERVICES menu.
As a matter of fact, when I realized that Vuze also exists as a plug-in, I made a separate installation of DivX Connected to my laptop and tried that plug-in there and again the same result.

Both Divx Connected servers running on my dedicated server and my laptop does not accomplish to deliver audio via Vuze Service or the plug-in both in Connected PC and DSM 330.

BTW, I assume you are among the dev team.
If my assumption is true, thank you for this great concept and product!
otherwise thanks again for your time spent helping me here : )

Don't Feel Alone!!

I don't use Vuze much but it used to work fine a few generations of DSM 330 ago. Having tried it recently I too am experiencing video only.
DIVX 7, latest Connected server software (1.5 build 75)
Vuze is 4.2 and works OK on PC. PC Connected however has same lack of audio as my wireless Connected.

I have installed Kamiwa add ons but not sure if this is reason since I have had this setup for a while now.
Not a big issue for me since I don't use Vuze much and it may resolve on next server update. (Can't really be bothered stripping out software and reinstalling for this!)
Still LOVE my DSM 330 though. Superb performance and fits in ideally with my movie habits. Thanks again......

Have you installed the latest Vuze player on your PC?

Have you installed the latest Vuze player on your PC? If so you should get audio even without the Kamiwa hack.
