DSM-330 not responding to remote
In recent days my DSM-330 has stopped responding to commands from my remote controls (either the supplied remote or the Harmony 555 which I have been using successfully for the past month). Occasionally after several presses of a button it will respond to one command, but then locks up again. I'd be grateful for any advice on how I might resolve this.
Many thanks for the advice dsalmonsen. However, the problem resolved itself when I switched everything back on last night. I think as you suggested it may have been an IR conflict of some kind, but thankfully only a temporary one. Thanks anyway!
The issue may also be caused by low energy lighting or even sunlight at times so if it does come back, you can try looking for those types of causes.
I have a similar issue. The sun comes in through the window and shines on the box. I shoved it back to the back of my entertainment center and that has seemed to help out.

The TV, or some other infrared source may interfering with the remote. The DSM-330 has a very sensitive IR receiver that can sometimes be swamped by IR noise from other sources. You might try changing the loaction of the device. Moving the device slightly behind and to the side of the TV can help solve this problem.
Some people have reported success by obscuring the front of the device to reduce the IR sensitivity as you can see in this post from Connunity.
