HTC Touch HD video but no audio
Hi there guys, i'm new to the site, but i have searched through the forums before posting this, as i haven't quite got the answers i'm looking for. Hopefully someone can help me...
I recently purchased an HTC Touch HD & installed the correct DivX player(DMP 0.92) from this site (Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro) for it. I then dragged one of my converted AVI(divx) files (converted using DVD decryptor & DVD Shrink for my PC) onto the memory card.
The video plays perfectly on my phone but there is no sound at all - i have checked to see that it isn't muted or turned down in the player or the phone & i have tried with & without headphones.
From my research before posting this I got some info about optimal bit rates for audio being 128kbps, but my video's audio files are all ripped at between 384 & 448kbps. Do you think this is the problem, will the divx player not handle these bit rates, or are there any codecs i can download to my phone, otherwise my only option will be to download DrDivx to my PC & re-rip all my previously ripped movies...
Any help appreciated
Dave
PS: Thanks for a brilliant site guys!

DivX Mobile Player will play DivX Mobile videos created by DivX software. The easiest solution is to run your incompatible videos through DivX Converter and make sure you have it set on the "Mobile" profile.
Lots of other software claims to make "DivX" files but your success may vary. In your particular case, it sounds like you have AC3 audio tracks which are incompatible with DMP. You need to convert the audio into MP3. I would recommend using a program like Virtual Dub or FFMPEG that can convert the audio (quickly) without re-encoding the video.
