E71 Divx Mobile Player, Cant find files
Hi
I'm trying to help my brother with his Nokia E71, he wants to watch movies and clips and whatnot, so i found some sites on google and read on someones blog that Divx Mobile Player is working on the E71, so he tried it and it installed fine and he transfered some movies from his computer to his mobile and now he can't find the files in the program. I read on the FAQ section on divx.com and it said "Click on Refresh List" But that didn't work either. Anyone that has had the same problem and knows what to do?
Help would be greatly appreciated!
I have Nokia E66, and I have the same problem. The player got installed properly, but the list of files shows only the demo videos that came with the player. I have quite a number of avi files on my phone, but refreshing in the player is not showing them in the file list.
We have not tested DMP on either the E66 or E71 but it should work. Usually when people are having trouble adding new videos, I find it is either because they don't know about the "refresh list" option or because the videos they are trying to add are not DivX Mobile videos.
Has anybody out there managed to add videos to DMP on either of these phones?
Are you sure the files you transfered to your E71 are genuine DivX files? How did you create them? Do they end in ".divx" or ".avi"? Do they play in DivX Player on your PC or Mac?
If you have non-compatible files, use DivX Converter to make them into DivX Mobile video files. See http://labs.divx.com/node/7774
