Image ratio not exact
hello
Config :
C2D / ATI 4350 / Win7 RC1 FR / 1920 x 1080 @24 or 50 hz
For play .mkv files, I installed in a first time haali media spliter. It's work, but not perfect.
In order to try this tech preview, I unistall Haali media spliter, then install DivXMKVWindows7TechPreview.
It's work great, but now image proportion isn't good. (black bars on side on 16/9 motions)
Any idea ?
Thanks
Any word on the Aspect Ratio bug?
Also it doesn't stretch anamorphic mkv files.
Any progress on this? 720P content mkv files have vertical bars for me on 720P TV (attached as secondary Windows 7 RTM monitor).
Thanks
any update on a fix for this?
On R3 I gett he same issue on a 16:9 monitor using 16:9 files (they play corectly in other software) Please let me know if you need more info to help create a fix.

To help us narrow down the issue some more, can you try the open-source utility called MediaInfo to find out what kind of video and audio you have in your files.
http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en
Please check your files out with it and let us know what you have and we'll see if we can reproduce the issue here.
One more thing I noticed is that it doesn't have a problem when streaming the files to the Xbox360. I only have the problem when using MC on my local machine.
Here is one that is doing this strange aspect clipping. I have more if you need them.

I get it as well
I also get this.
I get this too...
P
Perfect 720p (1280x720) 16:9 MKV/H264/AC3 files that play with the correct aspect ratio in any other player (MPlayer, VLC) or with any other splitter/codec combination (e.g. Haali Splitter, CoreAVC) will be stretched to full height (1920x1200 = 16:10) on my monitor.
WMP shows this in properties for aspect ratio:
10:11 actual, 1.62:1 displayed
I'm getting this issue as well...
Such a shame, as it was beautiful seeing my CPU usage dropping from 80% with haali splitter down to 10% with DivX on .mkv files. Haali had the correct aspect ratio though...
Any fix yet?
We've got this one logged... we'll let you know what happens... thanks to all for the details and we'll let you know if we need more.
Has the DivX team been able to determined the problem yet?
Has this been resolved in the latest version?
No I just started using the R3 Preview on x64 W7, it has the same problem. MKV gets streched on 16:10.
Can't wait for the fix. I've heard people are getting great results with this tech preview and 360 mkv playback.
That sort of functionality really makes a 360 a viable option for me as an extender.

is this fixed soon? such a huge problem that affects so many yet ive heard nothing about it. the poor aspect ratio is preventing me from using this
