Is it possible to allow people on pre-RC versions of windows run DivX 7 or give me a installer that doesn't check. As an ex-Microsoft employee I have windows 7 build 7048 and can't upgrade to RC1 without a complete system reinstall.
Would be nice to test with the new media center!

You should be able to install DivX 7 on Windows 7. Were you refering to the Tech Preview at the labs.divx.com home page?

If that's the case, it does system check because Microsoft changed the SDK between Beta and RC, so the RC one won't work on Beta. You can try downloading the latest Tech Preview and uncompress the componenets and manually register them, but not really sure you'll get the best results.
