Divx Connected (GejBox;-) ) Feature Request
Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I hope someone reads it anyway...
I have a couple feature requests for the GejBox. After toying around with it for a bit it seems rock solid, plays videos great, syncs up wonderfully. I love the thing. I cant help but notice that there are 2 things missing that would make it an XBMC (xbox media center) killer...
1. XBMC has this thing called Stack mode. It searches ahead for movie files that have been split to fit on multiple CDs. So if you have 2 files that are named the same, with a .1 or a .2, or a cd1 and cd2 in the filename, it stacks them together, and plays them as if they were one movie file. It cleans up your library and makes it so each movie you have is displayed only once. It also avoids the entire house going "What the hell happened to the movie?!?!" to the host when the movie cuts out half way. Stack mode can be enabled or disabled from within the library view, in case it starts stacking more than you want it to (such as a series of videos that you would only want to play one of, perhaps a middle section or a later episode).
and
2. AC3 audio! It supports playing it... but it downmixes the output signal to PCM 48KHz - 2 channel sound. Whats the deal? The GejBox has an optical output, so downmixing to 2 channels seems silly. I checked around all the options in setup and theres no audio setup. The difference between properly separated 5 channel sound and Pro-Logic II virtual sound separation is stunning, so this would be a welcome addition in a unit that intends to find a place in a home theater environment.
I realize that the GejBox is still in alpha, so I'm not pointing out faults or anything... I just think those 2 things would be crucial to it taking over as the ultimate xbox media center replacement.

I posted about the CD1/2 thing in July :)

It's a feature I really miss as well!
While I am not sure about your first feature request, I do know that 5.1 AC3 audio is now supported.
If you are a beta tester (I'm guessing you are since you have a box) then you should have access to the Connected forums. Feel free to check it out, browse around, join our chat room, and submit your feature requests/bugs.
