Interesting how there are no comments to your query.
It appears that Divx has given up on what was such a great product with great potential, The Divx Web Player.
It is now made to only be a tool to play Stage 6 uploaded videos and radically inconsistent if you choose to store and play your Divx video from your own web site.
When version 1.3x came out on ther web player, it really destroyed the tool for use for those who want to use the Web Player from their web sites.
The current Beta version 1.4b, has been out for a long time and the version of the Divx Web Player, 1.3x is still the official release when downloading the Divx package and has really been out for a long time.
You won't see any replies on technical questions about the use of the Divx Web Player on th e community forum, or even a separate category for it. It saddens me, but obviously the good people at Divx made a decision about the value of the product for their organization. That is something I certainly understand and can't argue with.
For me personally, I invested a lot of time and effort on getting visitors to my web site to use it, but when version 1.3x came out, I had to pull access to the videos.
