New DivX Mobile Player 1.0
Hello DivX Mobile Player users,
We have been listening to your requests to create a version of DivX Mobile Player for Symbian 5th edition phones. Today, we released DivX Mobile Player 1.0. It targets Symbian S60 3rd and 5th edition phones.
The 1.0 release has numerous updates and simplifications to the UI. The main new feature is touch-screen support for you Symbian 5th edition users.
Playback performance in 1.0 may or may not be as good on Symbian as it was in version 0.94. We still have version 0.94 available for UIQ 3.0, Windows Mobile 5 and 6 devices. Version 0.94 is also still available for Symbian 3rd edition phones.

Installed on Satio
Not working great on the Satio either its very jumpy(installed on Phone and Satio is running last Firmware)

Thank you, the player is basically working on my Nokia 5800 XM.
Some UI options I can select by clicking the option itself (radio buttons) but I can highlight them, and then press the select 'touch' button bottom left of the screen.
Performance is pretty bad with files that have a bitrate around 1100 kbps. Demo files run well.
Would it be possible to drop more frames to try to keep the audio in synch when there is bad performance?
Performance
DivX Mobile Player can only run as fast as your phone can. A bitrate of 1100 kbps is too high for the 5800. I recommend using DivX Converter with the Mobile setting. Bitrates around 600 kbps work best.

I apologize for my poor choice of words. We have no planned UI updates for Windows Mobile 5/6. Version 1.0 had significant changes to the UI to support Symbian 5th edition touch screens.
Please continue to check the Labs page for updates.

Dropped WM support... really... thats low, REALLY low... I will be sticking with WM6.5 (not the .x variant) for the next 2-4 years and was looking forward to a release... (WP7 looks like shit)

I totally agree. WP7 is not for me. Sticking with WM6.1 & WM6.5. Why would you drop ALL functionality in a windows device? Why not just drop it for Windows desktop too. There is NO reason for me to have your software on my PC if I can't use it how and where I need to. I still don't understand why you would put an expiration on these files. Leave it up to the user to update it.
That is quite lame, dropping any and all functionality for Windows Mobile phones. Not all of us can go out and get $500 phones every couple months. Mine will be with me for several YEARS! Both of them. Maybe someone out there will make a hack since you don't want to bother with this user base.

The latest version of divxplayer is not working on my Nokia C5 when i installed it on my memory card.
But when i installed it on my phone memory its working.
What is the problem and why it is not working on memory card?

I have the same problem with my Nokia N73 - DivX Player 1.0 is not working when installed on memory card...
Install on memory card
We tested this on a number of devices in our possession, and the issue never occurred with those phones.
That said, we cannot test on every device out there, so thank you for your input on these devices. In your case, either install it to the phone's internal memory or continue to use v0.94.
Version Expired
This version of DivX Mobile has expired!! How can I get it to work again??
